Credentials
Tom holds a master’s degree in exercise physiology and cardiac rehabilitation. He was certified by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) as an Exercise Test Technologist. He has taught courses in fitness, anatomy, and physiology at the college level. Tom is currently working on a PhD in nutrition.
On the practical side, Tom participated in long distance running events and triathlons during the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. He completed over 50 running events and 20 triathlons.
Tom is also a martial arts instructor. He has been involved in the martial art of aikido for over 40 years. His experiences have included teaching at several different martial arts schools as well as coaching, refereeing, and judging at regional, national, and international level events.
Tom has over 20 years experience presenting a variety of topics to adult audiences all over the U.S., Europe, and Asia. His presentations are interactive, entertaining, and informative.
